For Whom. Training courses conducted in English and implemented within the framework of Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training for university teachers and non-teaching university employees.

Training Objectives:

  • To raise awareness of the nature of stress, its impact on mental and physical health, and the consequences for professional effectiveness,

  • Learning to recognize the signals of stress and identify its sources,

  • Developing the ability to consciously take care of one's own physical, emotional and mental needs,

  • To raise awareness of the link between well-being and creativity,

  • Introducing relaxation and awareness techniques as methods of reducing tension and expanding self-awareness,

  • Explanation of methods of working with automatic thoughts,

  • Identification of different attitudes toward change.

Effects for Participants

Upon completion of the training Participants:
  • Have the ability to recognize the symptoms of stress and identify its sources,

  • Are aware of the impact of stress on health, creativity and innovation,

  • Can effectively manage stress,

  • are able to work more effectively, using techniques to improve concentration and creative thinking,

  • know how to create and maintain healthy habits that support both physical and emotional well-being,

  • know and can put into practice relaxation and awareness techniques,

Training Plan:

Day 1  
Methods of taming stress: a psychological workshop

  1. Introduction to the objectives and training plan,
  2. Icebreaker: participants’ self-presentation,
  3. Identification of individual needs of participants,
  4. Sources, symptoms and effects of stress,
  5. Mobilizing stress vs. destructive stress,
  6. Stress vs. creativity,
  7. Stress at work: response to change and attitudes toward change: a self-analysis,
  8. Cognitive tools for working with automatic thoughts,
  9. Summary. Feedback.

Guided tour

Day 2  
Harmony of body, breath and mind

1.Meditation from the ground up,
2.Body awareness: elements of practices drawn from subtle yoga – Kundalini, yin yoga, restorative yoga and yoga nidra,
3.Breath awareness: practice activating and massaging the diaphragm and efficient and “economic” breathing,
4.Relaxation: self-massage techniques, conscious and prolonged breathing, and body scanning.

Day 3  
Outdoor activities

Sports and its impact on creative thinking

Day 4  
Mindfulness practice as a method of expanding self-awareness, exploring one's own mind and nurturing psychophysical well-being

1.Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT),
2.Contemplative practices:
embedding and anchoring attention in the body; observing sensory impressions related to breathing; observing thoughts; and cognitive exercises derived from CBT cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Day 5  
The power of healthy food

  1. Shared healthy and wholesome breakfast,
  2. Training Summary,
  3. Evaluation of achieved goals,
  4. Certificate Ceremony.
